The Bush Kids Bursary was established to provide an opportunity for a deserving student from a rural or regional area who has the potential to maximise the benefits of a BBC education and who will add to the fabric of the College and boarding house by immersing themselves in the opportunities presented.

Selection Criteria:
The Bush Kids Bursary is for applicants not yet enrolled at the College, whose family has a demonstrated and authentic need for financial assistance. All recipients are expected to display academic progress commensurate with their ability and to take full and constructive part in all facets of College life.
The Bush Kids Bursary is for applicants who live in a rural or remote area (defined as 100km or more beyond the Brisbane metropolitan region) who demonstrate:
- A desire to achieve to his individual academic potential, as evidenced by academic reports demonstrating a conscientious and engaged approach to studies
- A willingness and desire to participate in all facets of College life, including academic, sporting, cultural and service activities
- Active participation and achievement in a variety of co-curricular activities
- Good character and a willingness to uphold the Christian values of the College
- Financial need
