Parents and Friends’ Association

The Parents and Friends’ Association, our main parent body, supports the College in providing exceptional educational facilities and experiences for students. In particular it provides parents with an opportunity to play an active role in their son’s education and strengthens the link between the College and the wider community.

The P&F Association is responsible for the operation of the Tuckshop and College Shop. Along with its numerous support groups and subcommittees, the P&F undertakes social and fundraising activities and represents the wider parent body on various decision-making committees within the College. All profits from P&F businesses are returned directly in support to the College for the benefit of all students. The P&F Association works in productive partnership with the College and the community to promote the interest of the school and facilitate its development and further improvement in order to achieve the best possible outcome for students.

Support & Social

Co-curricular Support Groups

P&F Support Groups work in partnership with teaching staff to support College activities in which their sons participate.

BBC parents have a wonderful tradition of supporting the co-curricular activities offered by the College and carry out valuable work on behalf of the P&F Association. Support Groups are formed as sub-committees of the P&F Association and carry out valuable work in encouraging student and parent involvement in sport and activities at BBC. The funds raised by Support Groups improve co-curricular activities at the College. Support groups aim to develop a sense of community around sport and activities by organising social functions.

Parent Connections: meet, connect, enjoy

Parent Connections provides a platform for parents to develop new friendships in the BBC community through a range of social events and gatherings. The group meets regularly with the Headmaster and other key members of staff to share information and ideas.

As well as being an active voice in the BBC community, Parent Connections provides a valuable liaison between the wider parent body and the school. They provide practical assistance by supporting the Care and Concern group, part of the school pastoral care program.
