Academic scholarships are awarded each year for excellence in academic achievement for entry into Years 5 to 11 in the year following the examination. The decision to award a scholarship is entirely at the discretion of the Headmaster. Awards will take into account recent academic record and the outcome of an interview with parents and the applicant together with a boy’s examination results in one of the following programs:
1.The ACER Cooperative Scholarship Test – for applicants entering into Years 7 to 11 please register at https://scholarships.acer.org/intro/3088
2.The ACER Primary Scholarship Test – for applicants entering into Year 5 or 6 please register at https://scholarships.acer.org/intro/3087
Please note: While ACER will supply parents with a certificate of results for all candidates, only short-listed candidates will be contacted by the College after exam results are released.

Submit an online enrolment application for Brisbane Boys’ College
Should you wish to postpone payment of the $550 enrolment application fee until the outcome of your scholarship application is known, you may use the code BBCacad26. You will be invited to submit this unique code in the final ‘Review and Payment’ step in your online application. The balance of your enrolment application fee ($400) will be payable on acceptance of a successful offer of scholarship.
You will be required to upload the following documentation as part on your online enrolment application:
- Applicant’s Birth Certificate and Passport if born overseas

We recommend your son’s portfolio highlights his interests and academic achievements, along with his broad involvement in school life, for example: leadership roles; community service activities; participation and achievements in music (instrument played and AMEB level achieved); or other co-curricular interests which may include participation in sports or activities such as Chess or Robotics. Please upload the cover letter and portfolio (in pdf or word doc format) when invited to submit “Additional Supportive Documents” in the online application.
