“Today at Limestone Park, BBC took hold of the Jack E. Ross trophy for the first time in College history. Congratulations to our mighty athletes who persevered in the heat to take the honours in fine style. Distance running is an extraordinarily challenging athletic endeavour and the way the Championship is constructed, makes it a true team sport. In what was an extremely close final tally our boys fought hard to ensure that every performance contributed towards the overall team result. BBC competitors were, without exception, outstanding. Each boy competed to the very best of his ability. Congratulations to all our runners, captains, coaches and managers of the team. Our College community are proud of your efforts, not only today but in your dedication to training and in your commitment to your mates in the green, white and black!”
“I will never forget the moment when BBC won the 2018 GPS Cross Country Championships for the first time ever. Standing next to one of my best mates, Harrison Medway, in that moment and realising we had won is a memory I will never forget. To then back this up with a win in the GPS Track & Field Championships was an unbelievable feat. To be able to Captain both teams is an honour that will stay with me forever.”
